Natural History Museum, London

The Natural History Museum houses one of the largest natural history collections in the world of slides to mammoth skeletons. The building itself is impressive with dome structure, frescoes and sculptures and the central hall is home to an amazing Diplodocus skeleton.

The museum is divided into four colored zones. The green zone is focused on the facts of life, earth, environment and development. The red zone is studied our ever changing planet, as it was formed and its place in the universe. In the blue zone, you can marvel at the diversity of life on our planet from blue whales to the smallest invertebrates. Finally, the orange zone you into the wilderness garden (open from April to October) and the Darwin Centre, although you can explore to make reservations for tours to do this need.

Most of the boys make a pilgrimage to the museum only see the dinosaur exhibit, but there are many daily activities, behind the scenes and you can borrow an Explorer backpack complete with binoculars and a hat!
